George & Marie’s Story
There was a time George and Marie might have replaced their old wood windows with new wood windows. Back when the kids were young and “challenging home improvement projects sounded fun,” George says with a laugh.
These days, the high school sweethearts would rather spend their free time going to wine tastings or traveling — not keeping up the maintenance on their windows.
“We kept putting off replacing our windows,” Marie says, “because George was concerned we wouldn’t find anything with as much character as our old wood windows but without the maintenance and at an affordable price. Then I remembered Home Depot.”
The couple went to Home Depot for a free consultation, and were walked through their options, “without the typical pressure you might expect,” Marie says. Plus, installation was a breeze. “It really was a wonderful experience from start to finish,” Marie says.
George and Marie ultimately went with beautiful vinyl woodgrain replacement windows from Simonton that still have “that classic look I wanted, but without the hassle and upkeep of wood windows, which, trust me, I know all about,” George says. “Honestly, don’t tell her I said this, but Marie’s right — we should have done this a lot sooner.”
